Architect of Munch Museum, Estudio Herreros

Doctor of Architecture, Professor at the ETSAM-Madrid and Full Professor at the Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation at Columbia University. He has also taught at other universities in Europe, USA and Latin America. Through estudioHerreros, together with his partner Jens Richter, he deploys a global, multidisciplinary and committed practice that combines professional, teaching and research activities. His work has been widely awarded, published and exhibited nationally and internationally in multiple institutions including several Biennials in Venice, Istanbul, Latin America, Spain, and at the MoMA in New York on three occasions. His achievements in the art world are numerous: he has recently completed the Munch Museum in Oslo and the Colección SOLO museum in Madrid and has remodelled institutions such as the MALBA in Buenos Aires and the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid. He has also designed artists' studios such as Luis Gordillo's, art galleries or CarrerasMúgica in Bilbao and installations for art fairs such as ARCO and Gabinete on two occasions each. He is currently designing a new creative experimentation centre for SOLO in Madrid, a cultural quarter with a contemporary art museum in Guanajuato, Mexico, and other projects in Spain, USA, Uruguay and Argentina.

His latest publications are the compilation "Textos Críticos" published by Ediciones Asimétricas and the monograph "Práctica Crítica 2009-2019" published by TC. Juan Herreros holds the International Fellowship Award of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
