Alejandro López is the co-founder and CEO of MuseumMate, a leading designer and manufacturer of technology solutions for the promotion of content for Museums and Monuments around the world. MuseumMate is the creator of the first Visitor Assistant, a combination of hardware, digital solution and data intelligence that merges information for the visitor during their tour through the rooms, with data intelligence and has already been used by museums such as the Museo Carmen Thyssen, Museo Nacional Reina Sofía, Museo Egizio in Turin, The Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Guggenheim Museum-Bilbao among others. Alejandro López initiated the implementation of Audioguides in Spain and other European countries more than 26 years ago. Since then he has led research into new narrative techniques (Storytelling) and technologies applied to the communication of Museums and Monuments.
MuseumMate is focused on in person visits to Museums and Monuments, applying a quality digital experience, which also allows Museum Directors and Technicians to learn more about the habits, behaviour, preferences and profiles of their visitors. Today MuseumMate is operating in several countries, has a wide portfolio of success stories and serves more than ten million visitors. Its mission is to research, design, develop, manufacture and market solutions based on the most innovative technology that enhances the visitor experience.
