Director, Biblioteca Cánovas del Castillo

Mª Antonia Olea is, since 2015, Director of the Cánovas del Castillo Library of the Provincial Council of Malaga, in which the Virtual Library of the Province of Malaga is integrated.

For more than 40 years she has developed her professional work in public libraries: Centro Coordinador de Bibliotecas de Málaga, Biblioteca del Centro Cultural Generación del 27 and currently in the Cánovas del Castillo Library, from where the Virtual Library project has been promoted.

With a degree in Library Science and Documentation from the University of Granada and a degree in History from the University of Malaga, she has completed her training with a multitude of professional courses. She has also collaborated for many years with the Andalusian Association of Librarians as a member of the Board of Directors, member of the organising and scientific committees of professional congresses and conferences, as well as in the edition of the Bulletin of the Association of Librarians.
