Jorge Leiva Rojo is Associate Professor in the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Málaga and holds a PhD from the same university. He has worked as a collaborating student at Dickinson College (Carlisle, Pennsylvania), visiting researcher at Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts) and visiting professor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (Monterey, California).
He is currently researching the translation of museum texts. Some of the results of this research have been presented at international conferences and forums, including the 2021 Symposium at the Instituto Cervantes at Harvard. Research on this topic has also been published in journal articles, including an article in the journal Onomázein (2020), on translation in New York museums, and another in Irish Studies (2022/in press), on the translation of identity in the National Museum of Ireland.
