Effective Low Emission Zones (LEZs) require suitable preparation to avoid inefficiency, high costs, and unpopularity. Ricardo and Aimsun believe that LEZ must be designed and operated with the community in mind, aligning with social and economic aspirations of municipalities to bring cost-effective air quality improvements and reduce negative health impacts. This roundtable will highlight successful approaches from European cities, emphasising the need for a robust evidence base, accurate transport models, air dispersion modelling, and economic viability.
