Since 1994 in SODEAN, “Sociedad para el Desarrollo Energético de Andalucía” later converted into the “Agencia Andaluza de la Energía”( Andalusian Energy Agency) in 2004. With initial responsibilities in the internationalization area, since 1995 I became part of the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies Department, where, among other responsibilities, I was in charge of the management of the process of access to the grid to renewable generators in the so-called “Zonas Especiales de Desarrollo Eólico” (ZEDEs), through which more than 2,000 MW of wind energy were developed in Andalusia, in a pioneering process of planning the development of renewables through competitions for access authorizations. Since 2012 I have assumed responsibilities in the development of energy planning in Andalusia, as part of the drafting and technical assistance team for the different energy strategies developed by the administration of the Junta de Andalucía. Since 2019 I have assumed the “Dirección Técnica y de Planificación” of the Andalusian Energy Agency, where, among other activities, is involved in the development of the centralized electricity supply contracts of the Junta de Andalucía, whose next contract will mean a four-year contract worth of more than €250 million and 1,000 GWh per year.
