Juanjo Hierro is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the FIWARE Foundation and chairman of the FIWARE Technical Steering Committee, the body that leads the technical roadmap of the FIWARE open source software platform, adopted as the de facto standard in more than 300 cities worldwide and the basis for the development of smart solutions by a growing number of organizations in various application domains such as tourism, logistics, agriculture and livestock, industrial manufacturing, energy, water management or building management.
Juanjo also contributes to the development of FIWARE's vision and value proposition in the various application domains where it is being applied. Likewise, within the framework of the Data Spaces Business Alliance (DSBA), he collaborates with the CTOs of Gaia-X and IDSA (International Data Spaces Association) in the definition of a technological reference architecture for the creation of data spaces that facilitate the sharing of data between organizations, ensuring compliance with interoperability requirements, trust between parties, as well as control over access and use of data.
