Manuel Acosta Seró is Full Professor in Applied Economics at the University of Cádiz since 2016, with national accreditation since 2013.
He has developed his research career in the field of regional economics and transportation economics. He has been main researcher of several research projects, including one of the Ministry's latest call for Strategic Projects Oriented to the Ecological and Digital Transition.
In technology transfer he has participated in and directed several Economic Impact reports, among others, of the Bay of Algeciras Port, the Bay of Cádiz Port, the Port of Ceuta and the Port of Tarifa; He has recently advised Spanish State Ports in the design of the next port economic impact methodology 2023. With the Organization of Artisanal Fisheries Producers of the Strait (OPP78) he has directed the report on the distribution of bluefin tuna fishing quotas.
In another order of things, he has also been the author of the economic impact of the Cádiz Football Club and the economic impact of the Spanish Space Agency, for the request of the SSA headquarters by the Seville City Council.
He is currently Vice-Rector for Lifelong Learning and University Extension at the International University of Andalusia (UNIA).
