MATER is a pioneering and innovative project in the enhancement of maritime heritage that seeks to bring and involve society in the care and conservation of the environment. The last Basque bonitera built in wood salvaged from the scrapyard and converted into a unique instrument of union and transformation is a reference in awareness and marine environmental education in the Basque Country.
