Irene Montilla Torres is Lecturer of Medieval History and Archaeology at the University of Jaén. She leads research projects focused on the formation of Islamic society and the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa. He has carried out research stays, among others, at the universities of Oxford and the Basque Country. Co-directs with V. Salvatierra, the journal "Arqueología y Territorio Medieval"
