Ana Pérez

Aviation Expert Director

Ana is Aviation Expert Director at AERTEC Solutions. She has extensive experience in airport planning and capacity demand analysis, with over 20 years of experience in airport projects worldwide. Her background in airport planning has been further developed over the years with projects involving all kinds of stakeholders, from airports to contractors, airport concessionaires, and others. Since 2003, she has worked as an Airport Planning Expert at AERTEC Solutions. She has been involved in projects in several countries, such as Spain, Colombia, the Philippines, Chile, Cuba, Belgium, the USA, Portugal, and the Middle East, etc. In addition, she has knowledge in the handling of diverse Fast Time Simulation tools in Airfields and Passenger Terminal Capacity (AirTop, CAST, AviPLAN, etc.), which helps with the detailed analysis in airport projects. Ana has a deep knowledge of ICAO, FAA, GACAR, EASA, and IATA standards, as a guarantee of excellence on every project she participates in. She is the author of several articles on airports and air transport, having received the López Villares Award from AENA in the specialty of airports. Additionally, she won the E-woman Award for her professional path. Ana is the Director for Inspiring Girls in Engineering, included in the Women in Transport European Union, with the objective of increasing the number of women engineers. Furthermore, she also collaborates with Women in Malaga Tech Pack and Ellas Vuelan Alto. Ana is currently advisor to the Urban Air Mobility and Sustainability committees y Aertec Solutions.
 

Iñigo Bilbao

ARCHITECT (Basque Country University), MASTER ON PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION (IESE, Madrid, University of Navarra) AND EUROPEAN PROJECTS EXPERT (Spanish Office for Science and Technology, Brussels) Proven experience in environmental and European projects derived from the management of the European Green Capital 2012 programme and other European projects such as: URBAN, MOVESMART, IRRIGESTLIFE, INTERREG, NOBEL GRID, NAPOCTEP, etc. As former member of the board of the Tecnalia Research & Innovation Foundation I also know the Basque Science and Technology network and all the European research programs. Strong experience and background on urban planning after more than 20 years on public and private projects in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the European Green Capital 2012, like the General Plan, the Old Quarter Integral Refurbishment Plan, the Salburua and Zabalgana Agreement, the Sustainable Mobility and Public Space Plan, the Urban Green Infrastructure Strategy (the Green Belt), the Tranway, etc. Excellent knowledge of the European Commission system and wide communicative and relational competence gained over 24 consecutive years of service to local governments and within international environments. Extensive experience as a lecturer (English and Spanish) in the USA, Brazil, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, China, Belgium, Greece, France, Canada, Spain, Chile, etc. I have participated in various exchange programmes in urban policies of the European Union with third countries such as China (EU-China Partnership on Urbanisation) or Canada (EU-Canada World Cities project). I have been involved in the EU-China Dialogue on Regional Policy, participating in four EU-China High Level Seminars on Regional Policy (Guangzhou, Brussels, Beijing and Shantou) and organizing a study visit of Chinese delegates from NDRC to Vitoria (Nov 2012). In 2017, I worked as NKE in the EU-South Africa World Cities Project, managing the Bilbao (ES)-Cape Town (SA) partnership. I am also involved in the IUC-LAC, the EU-Brazil Sector Dialogue in "Nature based solutions and sustainable cities", Brasilia 2018 and I have also participated as speaker in the Expo-Foro Innovación Ciudad Futuro. 27-28, March, 2019 in Santiago de Chile (Chile). H2020 Evaluator & European Commission's Expert (Id: EX2012D128322). I worked as leader of the Sustainable Cities Department in the Finnovaregio Foundation (FINNOVA), working in Interreg, H2020 & Life projects and in the Cities Startup Europe Award. This award, organized by DG Connect and the Committee of the Regions, looks for improving innovation and entrepreneurship in cities. Actually, I am the CEO of the Mobility Lab Vitoria-Gasteiz Foundation pushing innovation on mobility and logistics sectors
 

Luis Medina-Montoya Hellgren

Born in Malaga, Luis Medina-Montoya Hellgren holds and MsC in political science and Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid, with a double major in international relations and political science. He also has a diploma on foreign trade by the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Madrid and the Diploma on French civilization & culture –DULCIF- from the University of Burgundy (Dijon). He has developed his professional career in sales management, marketing and general management positions mainly in multinational companies belonging to sectors as diverse as the automotive, telecommunications and direct sales (products and services). He has travelled extensively all over the world and speaks fluent English, French and Italian. In June 2011, he took a professional leap into public service and returned from Madrid to his native Malaga attending the call from the Mayor of Malaga, Mr. Francisco de la Torre, to become the general director of the environment and sustainability department. Since February 2013 and until the dissolution of the autonomous body, in January 2016, he acted as well as managing director of the botanical and historic gardens of “La Concepción” and “La Consula”. He is a representative of the city of Malaga in the European network of municipalities EUROCITIES being a member of the working groups on noise and waste. In October 2016, he was appointed as one of the three representatives for the Federation of Spanish Cities and Provinces –FEMP- on the Commission for national coordination on waste management, which brings together the Spanish ministry for the environment and the 17 regional governments. Within this organization he belongs to the working group on Circular economy, which drafted Spain’s strategy on CE, approved on summer 2020, as well as the working works on packaging and WEE.
